| YOUR EYE HEALTH EXAM Your comprehensive examination at Optical Reflections™ incorporates the latest advances in research and includes the following: Medical History - Many health conditions and medications may affect your eyes. It is therefore imperative that we are aware of your general health history and any medications you are taking. Eye Health Testing - We test extensively for glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disease and other conditions. Tests include computerized visual fields screening to detect early vision loss and tonometry to measure the pressure of the eye. Dilation of the eye is often done to allow more complete visualization of the inside of the eye. Visual Acuity Testing and Refraction - Your near and distant vision in both eyes is assessed and the correct amount of lens power for best vision clarity and comfort is determined. Eye Muscle Coordination Testing - Your eye muscle control is tested to ensure your eyes are working together. This is an often overlooked reason for reading difficulty in children. Eye Focus Testing - The ability of your eyes to focus from far to near is tested. Biomicroscopy - This test allows detailed examination of the cornea, iris and retina, as well as evaluation of contact lens fit and performance. Children of all ages are welcome in our office. Experts agree that a child's eyes should be regularly examined after age three unless an obvious problem requires earlier treatment. Because we gear our eye examination to individual age levels, children find their visit both pleasant and educational. Dr. Viola Gay, specialist at Optical Reflections™ has the expertise and the information you need to make the right choices about vision correcting laser and other surgeries. We offer a free laser consultation to determine if you are a good candidate for LASIK. We also provide testing and consultation regarding glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disease and other conditions. PAYMENT POLICIES We strive to provide the best in comprehensive eye care at a reasonable cost to our patients and request payment be made at the time services are rendered. If glasses or contact lenses are ordered, payment may be made in two equal installments. Balances are due in full at the time prescription eyewear is dispensed. For your convenience, Visa and MasterCard are accepted. INSURANCE We are providers for most insurance plans. It you plan to utilize a program, please remember to bring your insurance card to the office at the time of your appointment. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to call our office. | |
